Path Sharing, A Shared Responsibility

What Our Partner Hopes to Achieve

Reduce instances of inconsiderate behaviour of some users of Active Mobility (AM) devices to lower the number of conflicts on public paths.

Address the need for all path users to be more aware of their surroundings and give way to one another.

How Youths Can Help Our Partner

Encourage users of AM devices to respect the safety of pedestrians and vulnerable path users, travel at appropriate speeds and make their presence known to others.

Encourage pedestrians and/or users of bicycles and Personal Mobility Devices (PMD) to share paths graciously and make journeys on our paths safer and more pleasant.

Shape pedestrians’ behaviour such that they are aware of other path users and adjust their behaviour accordingly.

Raise awareness of AM rules and code of conduct and make safe and gracious use of public paths a social norm.
